Your Itininary
Day 1: OUARZAZATE – SKOURA – DADES GORGES – TODGHA GORGES
Have some time strolling Ouarzazate city centre along with a visit of Kasbah Taourirte. Afterwards, hit the road via the valley of roses to see Dades Gorges where you will have a break lunch beside the river. Then, carry on towards impressive high Todgha Gorges, the best spot for a walk, feast on locally made dinner and an overnight in a hotel within the gorges or in Tinghir province.
Day 2: TODGHA GORGES – ERFOUD - MERZOUGA
Seize the morning for yet another walk between the gorges, then set off on your adventure to Merzouga after lunch at leisure on the way. Break the journey in Erfoud and Rissani then resume until you land up at Merzouga. Meet your cameleer and jump on your camel for a ride while gazing at the charming sunset behind the dunes, then reach the camp and you will be welcomed with a traditional mint tea. Tuck away a delicious local dinner around a campfire before you go dance with nomads to the live songs. Have a good night in your tent within the dunes of Erg Chebbi
Day 3: MERZOUGA - ZAGORA
Today, on your 4x4, travel across the immense rocky desert to Alnif. Enjoy a break and lunch at leisure before continuing to the Boughafer mountain range down to the Oasis of Zagora. Have some free time visiting the city at your own pace. The region is the birthplace of the Saadian dynasty which ruled the country along with Timbuktu during the 16th century. Savour dinner and have a night in a hotel.
Day 4: ZAGORA – AGDZ - OUARZAZATE
Wake up to a drive onboard 4x4 to see and explore some of the highlights of the city of Tamegroute: Green pottery workshops and craftsmen along with a visit of the Koranic library). Afterwards, you get back via the old caravan route to check out Kasbah of Tamnougalt nearby Agdz. Enjoy lunch in the Kasbah accompanied with a visit. After that, return through the Tizi-n-Tinfifite pass to Ouarzazate.
