Set off from Marrakech on your desert adventure towards sublime Merzouga village, travelling and discovering all of what`s left of history in Telouat, the natural wonder of Todgha Gorges, the cities of dates Erfoud and Rissani. An amalgamate of wonderfully rich and varied landscapes will amaze your eyes and spirit, not only that, but you will follow some traces of history with a visit to the medieval Sijilmassa and see the ruins of an ancient civilization. After reaching Merzouga, jump on the back of a camel and make your way through the desert, and why not walk barefoot on the sand to explore further this untouched immense nature. Afterwards, head off to Zagora, and see Tamegroute, and Ouarzazate, then, back to Marrakech to end your adventure.

Your Itininary
Day 1: MARRAKECH

Once you arrive at Marrakech Menara Airport, you will be picked up by your driver/guide and you will be carried to your Riad where you will be welcomed with dinner.

Day 2: MARRAKECH – TELOUET OASIS– OUARZAZATE – TODGHA GORGES

Start off the morning with a drive on the way to the high Altas passing through the highest Mountain pass in Morocco Tizi n`Tichka (2660 m above sea level). Next off to an ancient gem Kasbah Telouat with its surprisingly stunning inside architecture, then through the old caravan route to the nearby amazing Kasbah Ait Benhaddou where you will take pleasure in walking within the walls of this Unesco world heritage site after lunch at leisure. Carry on through the little Hollywood Ouarzazate, and via the palm groves of Skoura to reach Todgha Gorges in the late evening for a local dinner peaceful night between charming mountains.

Day 3: TODGHA GORGES ERFOUD – RISSANI – MERZOUGA

Today, leave Todgha behind towards the desert but have the opportunity for a chilled walking discovery of the immense beauty of Todgha Gorges. Hit the road and have lunch at leisure before you arrive at Rissani, a very known simple town for the harvesting of dates and its closeness to the medieval legendary Sijilmassa. After more driving you reach Merzouga. At the spot, hop on the back of a camel and ride through the dunes and meet the sun setting behind the dunes until you show up at the camp where you will have your first true mint tea. Feast on a locally made dinner around the campfire, once you have done, hit the sandy floor for some dancing with locals on Sahraoui songs of nomads, and then have a tranquil night in your tent at the foot of Erg Chebbi dunes.

Day 4: MERZOUGA - ZAGORA

Wake up early, and drive across the infinite expanse of the rocky desert to the city of Alnif. Have lunch in one of the local restaurants and carry on through Boughafer's closer-looking Mountain range until you land up at the oasis of Zagora. Have a free time exploring the city that was the origin of Saadians, a dynasty that ruled over the country and took control of Timbuktu during the 16th century. Enjoy dinner and overnight in the hotel.

Day 5: ZAGORA - OUARZAZATE

Jump in your vehicle and hit the road to the nearby sleepy town of Tamegroute where you will have a chance to see craftsmen hands on the green pottery in their workshops followed by a visit to an iconic Koranic library. Then, retrace your track around the Agdz and via an old caravan route to visit Kasbah of Tamnougalt, try a local bite for lunch before you continue towards Ouarzazate right through Tizi-N-Tinfifite mountain pass. Enjoy a well-deserved dinner and spend the night in your hotel.

Day 6: OUARZAZATE - MARRAKECH

Today journey back to Marrakech, through Tizi n`Tichka and a mountain range full of aromatic trees. Once you arrive, rest in your Riad, and go mingle in the medina for a visit. The sun also plays a character in the live spectacle of the famous Jamaa El Fna Square once it starts setting over this World heritage site that hosts acrobats, snake charmers, storytellers, musicians, and more. Some special moments await, moments are part of the Marrakech magic.

Day 7: MARRAKECH

The Last day is free at leisure in Marrakech, you better walk back to the medina and get lost in its souks alive with a bright myriad of colourful visuals from tanneries to leather diverse items and spice markets in between. Have a farewell hearty dinner and a night in your Riad.

Day 8: MARRAKECH

Your transfer to the airport will be organized according to your departure flight time, you can use your free time before that. We will keep your company until you board the flight back home.

How will we pay for this tour?

While you are making the booking, we request that you pay a 30% deposit of the total payment either by credit card, PayPal or a bank transfer. The remaining balance is to be paid on site only in cash. If you prefer to pay the total amount by credit card, PayPal or a bank transfer, you have to do so one month before your arrival in Morocco.

What type of luggage should we bring for this tour?
