Your Itininary
Day 1: OUARZAZATE – ZAGORA – ERG LIHOUDI
At around 11:00, get in your 4x4, leave Ouarzazate behind through the old caravan route towards Agdz followed by a visit and lunch in Zagora. In the afternoon, head to M`hamid for a desert expedition to the camp of Erg Lihoud, take a walk up to the top of a dune to catch a fabulous sunset scenery. Then feast on a locally made dinner and either spend the night in a tent or in Riad la Maison du desert.
Day 2: MHAMID – ERG CHEGAGA
Rise early in the morning for breakfast and ride camels for 2h45 to M`hamid. Enjoy lunch in a nice authentic hotel by the palm grove. Then later, set off on a 60 km trail to the largest dunes of Chegaga where you will be served a well-deserved hearty dinner and rest for the night in a desert camp in the heart of the dunes.
Day 3: ERG CHEGAGA – FOUM ZGUID - OUARZAZATE
Today, wake up in front of large dunes where you will have your breakfast before you take off on another 90km 4x4 journey in the desert crossing Iriqui lake. Break the drive with a lunch in a village before continuing to Foum Zguid desert. Next, we resume via the Taznakht route returning to Ouarzazate at the end of the afternoon.
