Do you look for a different backdrop? Do you need to break your routine? A weekend in the Moroccan desert is exactly what your spirit needs. You will touch upon charming and interesting natural surrounding environment and different scenery along the desert arid road to the desert gate city Zagora. Have the chance to walk on the dunes, or ride camels, taste the culture with typical dinners of the region with nomads in the heart of the desert in a very tranquil desert setting before you engage in many thrilling activities. Besides that, you will be enchanted by the gorgeous countryside from lakes, palm trees, oases, and ancient fortified villages dotted along the whole region.

Visit Ouarzazate and Zagora region in a 4X4 – Stay over the night in the Moroccan desert – Take a leisure walk in the dunes of Erg Lihoudi – Catch the special desert sunset followed by a delight meal around the campfire – Spend the night in a desert camp – ride camel like a true nomad – Have a picnic lunch outside underneath palm groves – Discover the great Chegaga dunes – Travel by the lake of Irigui along the desert of Foum Zguid.
Your Itininary
Day 1: MARRAKECH – OUARZAZATE – ZAGORA – ERG LIHOUDI
Leave Marrakech behind and hit the road towards Ouarzazate crossing the high Atlas Mountains and the highest Mountain pass ` Tizi n`Tichka`. Have a break and lunch at leisure along the road, then continue to Agdz down through the old caravan route to Zagora. In the afternoon, turn to M`hamid for a desert journey walking to the camp of Erg Lihoudi, pause for time looking at the sunset, then enjoy dinner and overnight in a desert camp.
Day 2: MHAMID – ERG CHEGAGA
Savour a breakfast, then turn back to M`hamid on the back of a camel for 2 hours voyage. Have lunch in a traditional hotel in the palm grove. Later in the afternoon, you set off for a 60km ride to the dunes of Chegaga where you will be served a typical dinner and overnight in your desert camp.
Day 3: ERG CHEGAGA – FOUM ZGUID – MARRAKECH
Wake up to the view of sunrise then enjoy your breakfast before hitting the sandy desert adventurous road in 4x4 passing by Irigui lake. Break with lunch in a village after ending in Foum Zguid desert. Later in the afternoon, carry on to end the day either in Ouarzazate to resume until Marrakech.
