Leave Marrakech behind and hit the road towards the gates of the desert to the M`hamid region in good timing. Travel over the high Atlas and Daraa Valley with all the diversity of its immense oases landscape abundant with palm trees, Kasbahs, and mud-made villages until you wind up in the desert. Meet kind and welcoming Berber people, and on the back of a camel get lost in the majestic desert beginning with its rocky plateau, and sandy dunes. Your Itininary
Day 1: MARRAKECH

After arriving at Marrakech Menara Airport, you will be met by our team and get picked up and carried to your hotel where you will a welcome dinner.

Day 2: MARRAKECH – OULED DRISS

Today, travel across the great high Atlas Mountain via Tizi n'Tichka, the highest pass in Morocco - 2250m above sea level-, down to Daraa valley and end up in the region of M`hamid to the desert. Overnight in Ouled Driss Camp) a few kilometres before M`hamid).

Day 3: MHAMID - RASSE NKHAL

Carry on your way to Rasse-Nkhal, near M`hamid. On your journey, have the chance to visit some amazing ancient Kasbahs (fortified mud villages) where southern people are still living.

Day 4: RASSE NKHAL - SIDI NAJI

Today the desert region is waiting for your curious feet, from regs (rocky terrain), to Ergs, which are colossal sand dunes dotted with Tamarisk. At a distance, you can see the chain of Kraab holding the border with Algeria. Our team will set up the camp near the tomb of the religious leader Sidi Naji, the place sought by Sahraoui women to fortunate finding a husband.

Day 5: SIDI NAJI / ERG ZAHAR

After checking out the interesting ruins of Ksar Bousnina, your hiking boots will lead you further into the desert to the top of the enormous dunes of Zahar, the best place to gaze at the sensational sunset over the desert.

Day 6: ERG ZAHAR / ERG ESSADRA

Use your free morning at leisure exploring the Ergs of Smar, and then seek a hideout beneath a tall Tamarisk tree for a nomadic lunch experience. In the afternoon, cut across the colossal Reg of Dzira with an entire peaceful flat land.

Day 7: ERG ESSADRA / CHEGAGA

Today, make your way through the desert to the highest dunes in Morocco (30m) the spectacular Erg Chegaga, the perfect spot where you will be amazed by the infinite sea sand before your eyes. Camp in the hearth of these immense dunes.

Day 8: Break

A well-deserved break.

Day 9: CHEGAGA / OASIS SACREE OUM LAALAG

Have lunch at the sacred oases of Oum Laalag, a measureless source of water in the heart of the desert... freshen up with a Sahara water taste.

Day 10: OUM LAALAG / OUED EL GHARG

Leave the dunes behind throughout the expansive of the rocky plateau.

Day 11: OUED EL GHARG - OUED NAAM

Today, turn up at the Ostrich valley or locally knowns as ` Wadi Naam`, it is believed that ostriches used to migrate through this area that`s where the name came from.

Day 12: OUAD NAAM - OULED DRISS

This morning drive from Wadi Naam until it is out of sight and journey via Daraa Hamada, a very wide rocky desert plateau scattered with volcanic stones. Late afternoon, drive back to Ouled Driss, stretch your leg for a break, and take a shower in your camp.

Day 13: MHAMID - MARRAKECH

On your journey back to the ochre city Marrakech, before passing through the frontier desert town Zagora, have the chance to have a break at the once religious center, Tamgroute city with its ancient university for Islamic lessons whose library contains some priceless Medieval manuscripts, why not visit a workshop to see how those unique green pottery items are made.

Day 14: MARRAKECH

Today is free day at leisure to go under the skin of the ochre city, or the pearl of the south, and its palaces, Museums, medina narrow alleys, and colorful souks. Make sure not to miss the world famous Jamaa El fna square, the Unesco heritage site, the heart of Marrakech where endless night love show ignite the place from snake charmers, musicians, storytellers to orange juice stalls and vendors of snail soup.

Day 15: MARRAKECH

Transfer to Marrakech airport, and constant assistance until you board the flight back home.

How will we meet you?

What to wear for this tour?

We advise you to bring light and soft (cotton) clothes, plus a short jacket, raincoat (During spring season) as well as a comfortable pair of sneakers.
