Start the adventure from the doorway to the desert `Mhamid` in the direction of Erg Chegaga, the largest dunes in the Sahara of Morocco. Jump in a comfortable 4x4 and go discover closely the natural beauty of the desert, the fauna, infinite stretch of sand, and the amazing multicoloured landscape. All it takes is a few hours' drive to the southeast of Ouarzazate to end up in Erg Chegaga dunes, a magical serene spot in the middle of nowhere. Walk on the top of the cool dunes, and stare at the sunset with admiration, why not try some sunbathing on the spot. During the night, feast on a typical delicious local meal, lie down and gaze at the starry sky, and join your group in dancing to the rhyme of Gnawa songs, then have a relaxing time in your tent. With all that this excursion has, you will cover all that needs to be done in Erg Chegaga.

Your Itininary

Day 1: MHAMID – SCARED OASIS – CAMP IN CHEGAGA DUNES

At 10:00 AM, start off the adventure on 4x4 from Marrakech to Erg Chegaga through the old caravan route and Daraa Hamada. Break the drive with a lunch in the sacred oasis. Then carry on and reach the stunning grand dunes of Chegaga, have some time looking in awe at the close sunset, and enjoy dinner and overnight in your camp among the dunes.

Day 2: ERG CHEGAGA – M`HAMID

Once you have your breakfast in the daylight with the surrounding desert, get back to M`hamid with a drive over 60km of the desert surface. Arrive approximately at 11:30

How will we pay for this tour?

While you are making the booking, we request that you pay a 30% deposit of the total payment either by credit card, PayPal or a bank transfer. The remaining balance is to be paid on site only in cash. If you prefer to pay the total amount by credit card, PayPal or a bank transfer, you have to do so one month before your arrival in Morocco.

What type of luggage should we bring for this tour?

Preferably, you bring a bag that can carry 20kg maximum and a backpack for your personal items for easy access for the day.

How will we meet you?

Once you book your tour, one of our agents will arrange and communicate the time and meeting point. We will either meet you at the airport after you arrive, or we will pick you up from your accommodation on the departure day of your tour.

What to wear for this tour?

We advise you to bring light and soft (cotton) clothes, plus a short jacket, raincoat (During spring season) as well as a comfortable pair of sneakers.
